Maths Knowledge Tests

Hi Parents of 'Room 6 Rocks'!

On Monday we did a Maths knowledge test with the class to see if there was any gaps in the children's learning. This was timed and they had 10 minutes.
I sent the sheet home with everyone so that you could see the things that they need to work on and are yet to grasp. I hope this helps you to understand some of the teaching and learning that is going on in the class.
Feel free to help your child on the gaps that have shown up in the test. Sometimes this is just a matter of skip counting with them.

Thanks,

Hamish

News and Views - Week 1

Hi team,

Room 6 have moved into their new room and are very excited about it! Thank you very much to the 7 parents that came to help over the holidays to move in, it was much appreciated.
We are having a big push this term on number knowledge and essential words lists. There is now an essential words list in the children's homework books. Parent assistance in working through these lists would be much appreciated.

Hi All!!

Guess who... your long lost Teacher, that's who!

I hope you all had a great week last week although I think you were all pretty sad that I wasn't there.

We have got a big week ahead with the World Cup getting closer and with being a week behind in our science inquiry.

Your task for homework is to create an amazing display about your country that is no bigger than A3 sized. It will have all sorts of things about your team on it including their flag, emblem, lots of facts and details about how well they have done in the past, etc.

We will be kicking off the remaining 6 science experiments on Tuesday. This will allow everyone to be here, as some are away at enrich on Monday.

Have a good weekend and I'll see you all on Monday,

Mr Menlove
